SAINT GERVAIS
On aborde St-Gervais, en venant de Challans, par une grand-route bien plaisante. Quelques bois, des peupliers, deux étangs qui font la joie des pêcheurs durant l’été et assurent le repos des oiseaux migrateurs en hiver, c’est un paysage qui se compose d’autant plus harmonieusement qu’aucun fil électrique ne vient le hachurer. Le bourg s’étire sur plus d’un kilomètre : longue rue bordée de maisons basses, à l’exception de quelques «châteaux» ou logis qui apportent quelques taches de verdure.
Sur la route de Bouin, la chapelle votive de Bourdevert est chère au cœur des Gervinois. L’environnement vient d’être réaménagé.
Grâce à ses campings, ses nombreux itinéraires balisés de randonnées, Saint-Gervais est bien adapté aux besoins du tourisme vert.

You get to Saint-Gervais from Challans, following quite an attractive road. A few poplar woods, two ponds attract anglers in summer and migrating birds which rest there in winter. The landscape is all the more harmonious as there are no electric wires to spoil it. The village stretches over one kilometre or so, consisting of a long street edged by low houses, with the exception of a few mansions or "logis" surrounded by gardens. On the road to Bouin, the Bourdevert chapel is dear to the heart of the local inhabitants, the land surrounding it has recently been landscaped.
With its camp sites, and numerous hiking trails, Saint-Gervais is well equipped to meet the green tourists' requirements.

Auf dem Wege nach Challans gelangt man über eine angenehme Schnellstraße nach Saint Gervais. Einige Haine, Pappeln, und zwei Teiche, an denen die Fischer im Sommer ihrer Leidenschaft huldigen. Hier ruhen die Zugvögel im Winter. Die Landschaft ist umso harmonischer als hier keine elektrischen Drähte das Panorama zerstören. Der Marktflecken erstreckt sich über einen Kilometer: eine lange Straße mit niedrigen Häusern, mit Ausnahme einiger Schlösser? oder Wohnsitze, die für grüne Flecken sorgen. Auf der Straße von Bouin findet man die von den Einwohnern von Saint Gervais ganz besonders geliebte Votivkapelle von Bourdevert vor. Ihr Umfeld wurde vor kurzem umgestaltet.
Mit ihren Campings und den zahlreichen markierten Wanderrouten hat sich Saint Gervais hervorragend an die Anforderungen des nen? Tourismus angepaßt.
